What is Tales from the Loop?
Tales from the Loop is a story-driven tabletop RPG where you play kids in an alternate 1980s, living near a massive science facility called “the Loop.” Strange technology, robots, time distortions, and impossible events are part of everyday life—but the adults are too busy to notice.
There’s no character death, combat is rare, and the focus is on mystery, friendship, problem-solving, and growing up. Think Stranger Things, The Goonies, and E.T. with bikes, walkie-talkies, and weird science just beneath the surface of normal life.
You don’t play heroes.
You play kids.
And the world is a lot stranger than it looks.

It’s the 1980s that never was—giant robots in the fields, strange machines humming, and mysteries waiting to be uncovered. You’ll take on the role of Kids in this retro-sci-fi world, using pre-generated characters to uncover secrets and solve eerie puzzles.
Participation will also count towards STARFLEET Tactical gaming achievement awards.
